Privacy Policy for BreedBloom
Last Updated: October 13, 2026
BreedBloom ("we," "our," or "us"), a business based in California, United States, provides tools for dog breeders and families to manage litters, puppy records, training progress, communication, and related information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the BreedBloom website, web application, and mobile application (collectively, the "Service").
Information We Collect
1. Information You Provide
We may collect the following information when you create an account or use the Service:
• Name
• Email address
• Dog or puppy information (e.g., name, birthdate, weight, photos). This may include care notes, vaccination or medication reminders, and similar records you choose to store about animals in your program—not clinical records for people.
• Messages or communication sent through the Service
• Optional profile information
• If you enable notifications, device tokens or preferences needed to deliver local or push messages you opt into
2. Automatically Collected Information
We may collect:
• Device type
• Operating system version
• Service usage data
• Usage analytics that we collect and store ourselves, described in "Analytics" below
3. Subscriptions and payments
Paid plans are sold through platform billing (Apple App Store or Google Play on mobile, and our web checkout where offered). Payment card numbers and full payment credentials are processed by those platforms and their payment partners (including RevenueCat for subscription status and customer management). We receive identifiers and subscription state needed to unlock features—not your complete card or bank details.
4. Sensitive categories we do not collect
We do not collect the following for people:
• Human health insurance or medical identifiers
• Biometric data
• Government IDs
• Location tracking data (unless you explicitly opt into features requiring it)
Applicants, Document Recipients, and Signers
You do not need a BreedBloom account for us to process information about you. A breeder may provide your name, contact details, or other information to BreedBloom when using our application, document, and signing tools.
When you complete an application or document, we process the answers, information, and files you submit. When you sign, we also record your entered name, typed or drawn signature, initials, associated email address, consent, signing time, IP address, and device and browser information. We record document-access events and delivery information. Before you open or sign an agreement we email you a one-time code, and we record the verification outcome.
We process this information to provide the requested service, deliver documents, maintain signing evidence, assist with support requests, and protect the service against misuse.
Application information is made available to the breeder receiving the application. Agreements and signing certificates, including the signing details they contain, are made available to the intended agreement parties. Service providers supporting functions such as hosting, storage, and email delivery also process information needed to provide those functions.
The breeder determines the purpose and content of their applications and agreements. We process information on the breeder's behalf when providing those tools. We also determine how information is used for our own service security, administration, and legal obligations.
Signed agreements and their signing records are kept for seven years after the final signature, or longer when needed for a dispute or a legal requirement. Deleting an account does not necessarily delete agreements or records that must remain available to other parties or be retained for legal reasons. Applications and unsigned documents are deleted when the breeder deletes them or closes their account.
To ask about BreedBloom's handling of your information or exercise applicable privacy rights, contact support@breedbloom.com. You do not need an account to contact us. Questions about a breeder's application requirements, transaction, or independent use of your information should also be directed to that breeder.
Analytics
We measure how the Service is used with our own first-party analytics. Analytics events are stored in BreedBloom's own database, hosted by our infrastructure provider (Supabase). We do not use third-party analytics or advertising services for this, and we do not use cookies for analytics.
Each analytics event can include:
• The type of event: a page view, starting or finishing sign-up, clicking a sign-up button on our website, submitting a newsletter or founding-member form, or opening the web app while signed in
• The page path, with the query string removed and account, record, and link identifiers masked
• The host name of the website that sent you to us (not the full address), and any campaign tags (utm_ parameters) in the link you arrived on
• A general screen size category (phone, tablet, or desktop)
• A random session identifier, kept in your browser's session storage for that tab only and not tied to your device
• A few details about the event, such as the sign-up method or which sign-up button was clicked
The "opened the web app while signed in" event is stored with your account ID. Other analytics events are not stored with your account. We do not store your IP address or your browser's user-agent string with analytics events, and we do not use device fingerprinting.
When you create an account on our website, we also save with your account how you first arrived in that browser tab: the campaign tags, the referring site's host name, and the first page you landed on.
We use analytics to understand which pages and features are used and where sign-ups come from, so we can improve the Service. Analytics events are deleted automatically after 13 months. They are not sold or used for advertising.
Analytics is turned off, and no sign-up source is saved, when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
Emails We Send
Besides emails needed to run your account and the Service (such as sign-in and verification codes, password resets, messages, reminders, and documents you are part of), breeder accounts may receive:
• A welcome email when you join
• A few getting-started tips in your first two weeks, such as adding your first dog or planning a litter
• A weekly summary of your program on Mondays, when you rarely receive our daily task digest
You can stop these by turning off News & Tips or email notifications in Settings > Notifications, or by using the unsubscribe link in any of these emails (which also stops the daily task digest). If you sign up for our newsletter or apply as a founding member, we send you one thank-you email.
Shows, Titles, and the Community Show Directory
If you use the shows features, we store what you enter: the shows on your list, your dogs' entries, results and titles, travel details and packing lists, show costs (which also appear in your Income & Expenses), and records about how a dog's offspring have done. These records are private to your kennel and the staff you give access to.
You may enter the names of judges and handlers, and a handler's phone number, email address and notes. That is information about other people. Enter only what you need to manage your own entries, and do not record anything about a person that they would not expect you to keep. Offspring records are about the dog: they have no place for the name or contact details of a dog's owner.
We send show reminders (for example before entries close and before a show) by email and in-app notification. You choose which reminders you receive in the shows settings.
Sharing a show with the community is optional. When you share one, other BreedBloom members can see the event details you chose to share: the event name and host club, the organization and what is offered, the dates and entry closing time, the venue name, city, state and ZIP code, the event number, and a link to the event's official page. They cannot see who shared it, and they cannot see your name, kennel name, contact details, dogs, entries, results, notes or costs.
We keep an internal record of which account shared, saved, reported or corrected a shared show. We use it only to apply sharing limits, to work out when independent members agree on a correction, and to prevent and investigate misuse. It is not shown to any member.
A shared show can include a link added by a member. If you follow it you leave BreedBloom, and that website's own privacy practices apply. We do not send it any information about you.
The Community Show Terms explain how sharing works in full.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
• Create and manage your BreedBloom account
• Allow breeders and families to share puppy/litter information
• Provide Service features such as training progress, logs, and messaging
• Improve Service performance and reliability
• Understand how the Service is used, through our first-party analytics
• Send account emails such as welcome emails, getting-started tips, and weekly summaries
• Respond to support requests
• Maintain security and prevent misuse
We do not sell or share your information with third-party advertisers.
Data Sharing
We may share limited data with:
• Infrastructure and authentication providers (e.g., Supabase for accounts, database, file storage, and related APIs)
• Subscription and billing partners (e.g., RevenueCat, Apple, Google) as required to process purchases, renewals, and customer support for paid plans
• Email delivery providers (e.g., Resend) to send account, notification, and document emails
• Payment processors (e.g., Stripe on our website) when you start a purchase
• Service providers (e.g., hosting) strictly for operating the Service. We do not use third-party analytics providers.
• Law enforcement, only if legally required
We do not share personal data with marketers or social advertising networks.
Data Retention
We retain user data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service's features or as required by law. You may request account deletion at any time. Signed agreements and their signing records are an exception: they are kept for seven years after the final signature, or longer when needed for a dispute or a legal requirement, even after an account is deleted, so the other parties keep access to their copies. Shows you shared with the community are another exception: an event that other members rely on stays in the directory after you stop sharing it or delete your account. It contains event details only. We delete your reports and remove the internal record linking your account to those events within 90 days of deletion, or keep that record for up to 24 months where the account's sharing was restricted for misuse, or while a complaint about the event is open.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
• Access your data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data
• Request that we stop processing your data
To exercise these rights, contact us at: support@breedbloom.com
Do Not Track and Tracking Technologies
We do not track you across other websites and we do not use advertising networks. When your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal, we turn off our first-party analytics (see "Analytics" above); the rest of the Service works the same. Our website loads a script from our payment processor, Stripe, which may collect device and usage information on our pages to detect and prevent fraud, under Stripe's own privacy policy. Apart from that payment script, we do not allow other companies to collect information about your online activity across different websites through the Service.
Your California Privacy Rights
We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. California residents may ask about our practices under California Civil Code Section 1798.83 ("Shine the Light") by emailing support@breedbloom.com.
Children's Privacy
BreedBloom is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted in the Service and on our website, with the date at the top of this page. We will tell account holders about material changes in the Service.
