Community Show Terms – BreedBloom
Last Updated: October 13, 2026
These Community Show Terms apply when you share a show with the BreedBloom community, or find, save, report or correct a show that another member shared. They add to the BreedBloom Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which continue to apply. If the two disagree about the community show directory, these terms apply.
Sharing a show is optional. Your own show list, entries, results and titles work without it.
1. What the community directory is
The directory is a list of dog shows and trials that BreedBloom members chose to share with other members. It is not a complete calendar and it is not an official one.
BreedBloom does not run, sanction or take entries for any event. BreedBloom is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the American Kennel Club, the Australian Shepherd Club of America, the United Kennel Club, the International All Breed Canine Association, the American Stock Dog Registry, or any other registry, club, superintendent or show secretary. Their names are used only to say which organization an event belongs to.
BreedBloom does not independently verify shared events. Always confirm dates, locations, entry deadlines, eligibility and registration details with the official show organizer before you enter, pay or travel.
2. What you may share
You may share facts about an event:
• the event name and host club
• the organization and what is offered
• the dates, and the closing date and time for entries
• the venue name, city, state and ZIP code
• the organization’s event number
• a link to the official page for the event
Share only events you believe are real and are open to the public to enter or attend.
3. What you may not share
• Anyone’s personal information: no personal names, home or street addresses, phone numbers or email addresses, including those of a show secretary, judge or handler
• Anything that claims the listing is official, verified, confirmed or approved
• Links to anything other than the event’s own official page, including shortened links, payment pages, file-sharing pages and pages that ask for a login
• Events you know to be false, cancelled or misleading
• Advertising, or anything unrelated to the event
• Text copied from a premium list, a catalog or a registry’s website beyond the bare facts listed in section 2
BreedBloom checks what you type and refuses some entries automatically. That check is a safeguard, not a guarantee, and it does not make you less responsible for what you share.
4. Your promise when you share
Each time you share a show, you confirm that:
• the details are accurate to the best of your knowledge
• they contain no one’s personal information
• you are not sharing it to mislead anyone or to collect money or personal details
You are responsible for what you share. If you learn that something you shared is wrong, correct it or stop sharing it.
5. What other members see, and what stays private
Other members see only the event details you shared. They do not see who shared an event, how many members saved it, or who reported or corrected it.
Your name, kennel name and contact details, the name you gave the show on your own list, your notes and plans, your dogs, entries, results and titles, your judges, handlers and other contacts, and your fees and costs are never shared through the directory.
6. Permission you give BreedBloom
The event details you share are facts, and you keep whatever rights you have in them. You give BreedBloom a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide permission to store, display, copy and adapt those details in the directory, to combine them with matching details shared by other members, and to show them to other BreedBloom members, for as long as the event is listed.
A member who saves a shared show gets their own private copy of its details. That copy stays with them if the shared event later changes or is removed.
7. When a listing first appears
To protect members, a new account’s first shares are held for a time before other members can see them, and so is a link to a site BreedBloom does not already recognize as an organization’s own. A held show is still on your own list.
BreedBloom may limit how many shows an account can share in a day.
8. Reports and corrections
Any member may report a problem with a shared event or propose a correction. Report in good faith and only what you believe to be true.
One member’s report or correction does not, on its own, change a date, a venue or an event’s status for everyone. A change that others rely on is applied only when independent members agree, and BreedBloom shows a note on the listing while a detail is in question. A report that a link looks unsafe removes that link from view straight away while it is looked at.
These steps are automatic. BreedBloom does not routinely review listings by hand.
9. If you stop sharing, or delete your account
You can stop sharing a show at any time. If no other member is relying on the event, it is removed from the directory. If others are, the event stays listed; your connection to it ends, and the event never showed who shared it.
If you delete your BreedBloom account, events you shared that other members rely on stay in the directory. They contain event facts only. BreedBloom removes the internal record linking your account to them within 90 days. It may keep that record for up to 24 months where the account’s sharing was restricted for misuse, or while a complaint about the event is open.
Past events are archived automatically after their last day.
10. What BreedBloom may do
BreedBloom may, at its discretion and without notice:
• hold, hide, correct, archive or remove any shared event or link
• block links to particular websites
• pause or end a member’s ability to share, report or correct, for example after a listing they shared is reported as fraudulent or unsafe
• switch sharing off for everyone while a problem is investigated
BreedBloom is not obliged to list any event or to keep any event listed.
11. Links to other websites
A link on a shared event was added by a member. BreedBloom has not checked the site it leads to, does not control it, and is not responsible for it. BreedBloom does not take show entries or payments. Confirm the event with the official show organizer before you pay anyone or give anyone personal details.
12. No guarantee
The directory is provided as it is. Shared events may be wrong, out of date, incomplete or cancelled. To the fullest extent the law allows, BreedBloom is not responsible for any loss that comes from relying on a shared event, including entry fees, travel and lodging costs, a missed closing date or a missed show. The limits of liability in the BreedBloom Terms of Use apply to the directory.
13. Clubs, organizers and anyone with a complaint
If you run an event that is listed and want it corrected or removed, or you believe a listing is false, uses your club’s or organization’s name improperly, infringes your rights or contains personal information, write to support@breedbloom.com. Tell us which event it is (the name, date and place as listed), what is wrong, and how to reach you. You do not need a BreedBloom account.
We will look at every complaint, and we may hide the event or the detail in question while we do.
14. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The version in force when you share a show is the one that applies to that share.
